A custom leash can be a classic leash or a slip leash.
Classic leashes have a normal handle, and can be used only the classic way.
Slip leashes are highly effective for training or easy management, but they are not ideal for everyday walks. Highly convenient, easy to slip on and off without a collar, and excellent for getting a dog's attention during training or in emergency situations.
Because they tighten around the neck when pulled, they put excessive pressure on the neck and windpipe if the dog pulls. They should never be used on dogs with strong pulling behaviors or puppies.
